Please join us for the Minnesota screening of Stitching Strength, a documentary that follows the fight against ALS through a lens of creativity, courage and connection. Rather than framing the disease as a story of loss alone, the film centers on patients who refuse to be defined by their diagnosis and the families who channel grief into art, music and action. Demonstrating how fashion and self-expression become tools for healing and reclaiming identity in the face of illness. After the documentary screening, ACT will host a Q&A session with Dr. Bedlack.

Richard Bedlack, M.D., Duke University
Dr. Bedlack is a neurologist whose bold personal style and unwavering optimism have shaped a distinctive approach to ALS care. Throughout his career, Dr. Bedlack has challenged conventional models of care by building collaborative care teams, studying rare cases of unexplained ALS reversal, and encouraging patients to take an active role in shaping their own treatment and research. At the heart of his philosophy is the belief that hope isn’t just a feeling, it’s a part of the treatment itself.
