2026 World IBD Day: A Patient’s Perspective

On world IBD Day, Ulcerative Colitis patient, Kristen, shares her experience with Ulcerative Colitis. “During the hardest parts of my medical journey, I would say that other people who have been through it or understood in some way have been the most supportive. And the community that you build with other patients and people involved is really what gets you through those hardest times.”‍

ACT’s 2026 Twin Cities Marathon Charity Race Team Registration is Open

Since 2016, ACT community members have taken strides at the Twin Cities Marathon to advocate for microbiome research and raise funds for its advancement. Amanda, an Ulcerative Colitis patient, University of Minnesota Microbiota Therapeutics Team researcher, and ACT runner shares her perspective: “I’ve really loved this whole experience from being a patient, being a researcher, and being a runner for ACT. Every single dollar, every single bit of help that anybody provides to ACT is truly changing lives and it’s really transforming and moving this field of microbiome research forward. It’s really exciting and I welcome everybody to be a part of that.”
